2014 12 12 DAR Kathryn RhodaWe are located in Tampa, Florida and named the DeSoto Chapter for an early spanish explorer of Florida’s west coast, Hernando DeSoto. DeSoto Chapter was organized in 1903 and was honored to have a Real Daughter of the American Revolution, Mrs. Eunice Lackey, as a charter member. In the spirit of the Daughters of the American Revolution, through our volunteer service we honor God, Home and Country. Our service projects focus on Historic Preservation, Education and Patriotism.
