Ormond Beach is located between Flagler Beach to the north and Daytona Beach to the south.  The town was named after Captain James Ormond, whose family settled in Ormond Beach in the 18th century.  We are near a beautiful beach and the verdant Tomoka State Park.  At the turn of the 20th century, John D. Rockefeller bought a home in Ormond Beach and spent winters in his home, “The Casements.”   In 1903, the sands of Ormond Beach became a testing ground for automobile drivers who set speed records on our hard packed beach.
